Find Great Art at the End of the Road

Located at the end of the Sterling Highway, Homer, Alaska, is a picturesque fishing village (“the Halibut Capital of the World”) nestled by the fjord like Kachemak Bay.  Not necessarily the first place you would think to find art, Homer has a number of galleries and shops that host artists from the local community and further afield.  Carolyn Seymour’s work is on display at Ptarmigan Arts, a local artists cooperative.  Carolyn has visited Homer and other parts of Alaska on a number of occasions, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty to create some iconic pieces that capture the essence of the “Final Frontier.” Browse the image gallery on this web page as well as the biography articles to see some of these works.
